After years of making signs and a recent passion for whale carving, a sign like this was inevitable, right? Inspiration came from an antique whale carving spotted online and the fictional name was, well, a no brainer. As it turns out, there are a handful of “The Whaler” pubs out there and I’m sure there were dozens of others through the centuries especially in places like 1800’s Nantucket. Also found The Whale and Ale, The Whale’s Tooth, Whales of August and The Whale’s Rib. Can’t take credit for this graceful profile, but the lettering design is all original. SOLD.
