Hadlock & Fox saddle tree makers
96"x29"
Our client’s father and grandfather founded this saddle tree manufactory in 1962. A saddle tree is the inner, curved frame that gives all saddles their unique shape—from horn to cantle. This Gruene, Texas business (pronounced Green) was one of only three saddle tree makers in the world and it shipped hundreds of trees a week to locations across the globe. Sold to investors in 2007, Hadlock & Fox still makes saddle trees using the same innovative methods the founders developed decades ago. An antique store now occupies the original brick, two-story Hadlock & Fox building in this quaint tourist town on the edge of Texas hill country. Original design.
